The permanent exhibition uses numerous exhibits to document historical and current developments in what was once the most important economic sector in Vogtland, as well as its impact on the region and its people. Changing special exhibitions complement this offer. Numerous interactive, themed hands-on stations invite visitors of all ages to experience the exhibition content for themselves. Guided tours by expert staff and educational museum activities can be booked. In order to make the exhibition accessible to as wide an audience as possible, the exhibition area is designed to be wheelchair accessible and content is available in various languages (including German sign language).
